To set Groups, you would right-click on the first slide you wish to be a part of a Group, select “Group” and then choose either an existing Group Label or choose Other to enter your own. If you’ve downloaded a song file from CCLI, it’s likely this was assigned automatically, but you may have to manually set this up.

To set up an Arrangement, you will need to first make sure that your slides are setup with Group labels. I used macros to change from one audience Look to another so that I’d I need to change how we handle that, I only have to change it in one place, and so that my volunteers only need to worry about the in-house slides and everything else is automated and falls into place properly for them.Arrangements allow you to create multiple layouts for a Presentation without having to duplicate the Presentation in your Library. For example, I need lower thirds on the live stream during the song service, but because of the bilingual nature of our service, I cannot use lower thirds for Scripture, and so I use the slide full screen in the live stream for that. It also uses two different fonts to further differentiate between the two of them.įor the different parts of the service in which I want different things in different places, I used Looks to modify that. My requirements here are a little unique in that I have a bilingual service, and so every time I use Scripture, I need it in two languages simultaneously, and so I created a separate theme for that. I don’t usually have prepared slides for the message, so more than anything I use the Bible tab during the preaching. I tend to prefer having more on the main auditorium screen, but that creates problems when you try to create a lower third overlay with the live stream, because you have too much text to fit legibly in that small of a space. The one thing that I wish I had done better the first time was to make the song slides with less text per slide. I spent some time setting up a theme for my song slides so that they are consistently formatted and such. I also finish each song with a blank slide so that the final tradition works like I want to to, and also so that I can wait to transition away from that background at a better time, but still not have lyrics hanging out on the screen the whole time. It also allows me to bring up the background and then use transitions or builds in and out for the text, rather than a cut transition to the slides with text. It is the slide that has the Media background, any macros, Looks, or other automations attached to it. My presentations for music all begin with a title slide set that has the first slide blank.

There a few things that I have done that have worked out well for me.
